Prelude and fugue in D major
op. 35 Nr. 2(a) en op. 7 Nr. 3 U 129, U 59
Praeludium: a singing melody unfolds from a garland of continuous semiquavers. The fugue originates from the ‘Sieben Characterstücke’ opus 7 (Nr. 3 = MWV U 59): a dance-like composition in the style of Bach.
